Many conferences have been cancelled, postponed or switched to online events. The board of the PF Chemistry and the Swiss Chemical Society discussed and offer two options also in 2022: classic conference visit or visit of a foreign lab for research.
Option 1: Contribution of CHF 1000 towards the cost of physical participation at an international conference.
· Active participation (poster or talk) to an international conference related to chemistry
· Must take place outside Switzerland
· Must last at least 3 days
· Conference must take place between May 15th 2022 and May 14th 2023
· Deadline for application is March 31st 2022 (23:59).
Application requires: Abstract, CV with a list of publications, recommendation letter from advisor.
Applicants must be doing her/his PhD at a Swiss institution at the time of the deadline (31st of March 2022).
Winners must present the certificate of attendance within 60 days after the conference to receive the reimbursement.

Option 2: Contribution of up to CHF 1000 to visit a foreign lab for research.
This option is new and only available for the year 2022. PhD students can apply for:
· Active visit to a foreign lab (for research - not for holidays nor interviews)
· Must take place outside Switzerland
· Must take place during PhD and must be related to research project (joint project/learn technique/...)
· Must last at least one week (5 open days)
· Visit must take place between May 15th 2022 and May 14th 2023.
· Deadline for application is March 31st 2022 (23:59).
Application requires: motivation letter, title/abstract, recommendation letter from advisor AND recommendation letter from host, budget.
Winners must present a confirmation by the host PI within 60 days after the research stay to receive the reimbursement.
